"Fast & Slow" Diptych Set

Fast and Slow explores my concept of home, through contrast, color, and perspective.

The first print (“Tronno” - 2018) shows downtown Toronto from an iconic angle that no longer exists, erased by new development. The CN Tower rises between 2 skyscrapers. Focused, in the foreground, a crosswalk light shining “6,” and the flashing hand signal is transformed into the praising-hands emoji—a playful homage to the city. Orange tones dominate, capturing the energy and pace of urban life.

The second print (“Probinsiya” - 2021) depicts rural Philippines: a basketball hoop framed by palm trees, far from Manila’s centre. Green dominates, reflecting a slower, natural rhythm, rooted in heritage, & culture. 

Fast and slow, City and Province, West and East, evening and morning, warm and cool, orange and green—the contrasts are intentional, designed to speak to each other. At their core, both images share a single truth: home.

This diptych is for those navigating the space between worlds.
